ETR's July 2022 TSIS Survey closes today! In addition to tracking spending intentions for hundreds of technology vendors, ETR also has industry-leading data on macro trends covering overall IT budgets, sector priorities, cost-cutting targets, remote work status, wage trends, and input costs! The July 2022 survey period saw participation from ~1200 qualified IT Decision-Makers, of which 33% hold C-suite titles and another 45% respondents at the VP / Director level. This data is being finalized today and we have never before released a preview to the public...until now. The full Macro data report, aggregated ITDM commentary, and Findings Webinar will be released next week on Friday, July 15th. While I can only offer a sneak peek, the entire data set is one click away with your FREE TRIAL. If you have been curious about ETR's data, today is the day to check us out; no strings attached.
Now, let's get into some of the macro data highlights:
- Despite gloom and doom headlines from every major news outlet, ETR's data shows that IT spending estimates remain in line with the projections captured 3 months ago, depicting an average of ~7% growth for 2022.
- Larger Organizations, as detailed by F500 survey respondents, are projecting the most considerable decline in IT spending for the year, while Midsize companies are projecting the highest budget increases.
- Regarding prioritizing the available budget, Cybersecurity remains the highest technological priority over the next 12 months with Cloud Migration seeing a notable decline in cited prioritization
- Lastly (for now) the most recent macro data also captures an anticipated slowdown in new IT project deployments, as well as a slowdown in new hiring
While that's about all I can get away with giving away for free, stay tuned for the full release of ETR's Macro Data next week. In the meantime, start your Free Trial today.
